Features

Tidepool's just the thing to manage your memories.
Read here to see what the fuss is all about.

Browse Like Your Brain Does!

Rigid folder hierarchies just don't work. They're hard to make and even harder to remember. Did you put that photo in "trips" or "family"? Tidepool breaks the hierarchy by using tags instead.

Tidepool's Built For Tagging

Tags tell the who, what, where, and when of it, allowing you to easily describe your photos and stories for friends and future generations. Simply drag a tag from its dock and drop it on a photo.

Tagging So Easy, You'll Do It!

Click a photo and start typing and Tidepool's nifty Tag Chooser magically appears, allowing you to quickly create new tags or pick from old favorites.

Find Photos Fast

With your photos tagged, you'll find them quickly by clicking a tag in its dock to show photos with that tag. Keep clicking tags and it'll narrow the search further.

Organize with Boxes and Stories

Save your search as a Tidepool "box" to automatically collect photos with tags that match. Or, copy your search to a Tidepool "story" so you can compose your collection to share with friends.

Keep Things In Sync

Tidepool learns all the places your photos might be, then quickly gathers new photos while skipping those it's seen. Best of all, Tidepool won't alter your photos or leave "droppings" everywhere.

Share To The World, or Just Your Friends

Click "share" on your photos and Tidepool sends them to Storymill, then emails your friends to have a look there. No more hassles with email attachments!

Use Custom Tag Icons

Show what's what at a glance with our built-in tag icons or use your own buddy favorites. You can also put a real face on it with cropped regions from your photos.

Keep Your Photos Safe

Click "archive originals" when you share photos to Storymill, and we'll keep your irreplaceable memories safe from computer crashes, viruses, and fire.

Built for the new Semantic Web

Tidepool and Storymill are built to use RDF, an industry standard. This means you'll always be able to use your data with the newest and coolest technology available. We won't lock you in!
